| Salary: These two positions will be offered at either Level A: $52,742 - $71,571 p.a. or Level B: $75,341 - $89,465 p.a. plus employer superannuation contributions of 17%. Level for both appointments is subject to the successful candidates' qualifications and experience. The Thomas and Margaret McArthur Fellowship Fund was established to support Postdoctoral Fellowships in the Faculty of Arts at the University of Melbourne. The Fellowships are to be awarded to two candidates who have been awarded the Doctor of Philosophy and who wish to pursue research in the field of Social Sciences or Humanities, with preference given to candidates undertaking research in the field of Anthropology. The Postdoctoral Fellows will be based in a relevant School within the Faculty of Arts. The appointees are expected to make a research contribution to their proposed area of study. The Postdoctoral Fellowships will enable the appointees to enhance their applied and fundamental skills in interdisciplinary research, with the help of personnel and world-class facilities at the University of Melbourne. Senior academic staff will provide guidance and mentoring in the development of the incumbents' research profiles. The Postdoctoral Fellows will be expected to contribute to the research agenda of the relevant School and Faculty, through the conduct of research and output of publications (in line with the Faculty of Arts minimum requirement of at least two refereed articles or equivalent per year) during the term of the appointments. The Postdoctoral Fellows will also contribute to other School or Faculty activities as negotiated with the Head of School or Dean of the Faculty. Each Fellowship is supported by research funds to cover appropriate research expenses up to the value of $10,000 per annum. Employment Type: Full-time (fixed-term) position available for 3 years.
