Member Application Forms

Note: these application forms are for new members only. General members who would like to upgrade their membership to be a Fellow of the Society can apply here: https://www.aas.asn.au/member-hub/upgrade-to-fellow/

Instructions for new members

1. Review the information on membership types, eligibility and fees and make sure you have the required supporting documentation ready

2. Select 'Join' next to the appropriate member category below

3. Complete and submit the application form online – you will be asked to pay the application fee and annual membership fee at this point: if you pay by credit card your application will be processed immediately, if you choose 'Cheque/EFT' you will be sent an invoice with alternative payment methods

4. Note: Gender and Date of Birth are optional fields

5. Once you have submitted your application and paid all required fees, your application will be processed by our Membership Officer. If there is any uncertainty about your eligibility for membership, the Membership Officer may refer your application to a designated Accreditation Committee and/or contact you to request further information to substantiate your application (including but not limited to a request for two professional referees who are Fellows of the Society)

6. Successful applicants will receive a welcome package by email, including login details to access the Member Hub on the website. New members will begin receiving member benefits immediately upon acceptance to the Society

7. Unsuccessful applicants will be notified by email and will receive a full refund of the paid membership fee
