
We at the AAS are celebrating by announcing the 2020 AAS Engaged Anthropology Instagram Video Competition. This is part of a broader Engaged Anthropology Initiative (more info soon).
We are looking for videos that tell the world what anthropology is in 60 seconds or less.
It's so simple: You can enter as many videos as you want! You don't have to be an AAS member or Australian to compete! To enter, all you have to do is post a video to Instagram and include the hashtag #AASengagedanthropology. We'll repost your video on our Instagram account @australiananthropology.
First prize is People's Choice Prize (500 AUD). This goes to the video that gets the most comments and likes on our AAS Insta account (not on your own Insta account). Yes, you can totally game this by telling your friends to like and comment.
Second prize (300 AUD) and it will be voted on by the ANSA executive (our network of student anthropologists).
Third prize (200 AUD) is the President’s Choice, decided by the AAS exec.
The deadline for submitting your video is March 31st, so that gives you a little more than a month.
