The Q Newsletter
The Australian Anthropological Society Newsletter is one of the main ways that the Society communicates with its members. It provides a forum for anthropologists to disseminate information about upcoming conferences, important new publications, and theoretical issues of concern to the profession.
The Q Newsletter is produced quarterly and is distributed electronically to members and subscribing institutions.
AAS members can access and download the latest issue of The Q from the website (member login required).
Copies of all but the latest AAS newsletters are available to the public via the Archive of Issues webpage. Editions of the Newsletter date back to December 1978, when the first issue was published. Members of the public can also access the Latest Feature Article online.
Members and others are encouraged to support the Newsletter by providing content. The Newsletter is particularly suited to postgraduate students who wish to have their work published in a less formal arena. For a list of suggested submissions, go to the Submissions page.
