Instructions for Authors
TAJA publishes original research articles dealing with anthropology and related disciplines. The journal especially welcomes theoretically focused analyses and ethnographic articles based on fieldwork carried out in Australia and neighbouring countries in the Pacific and Asian regions. Papers that explore the relations between anthropology and cognate disciplines are also welcomed.
The length of an article (including references, endnotes, tables, and appendices) should not exceed 8,000 words. All articles must have a brief abstract that states in 150 words or fewer the major points made and the principal conclusions reached.
The acceptance criteria for all papers are the quality and originality of the research and its significance to TAJA’s readership. Except where otherwise stated, manuscripts are peer reviewed by two anonymous reviewers and the Editor. Final acceptance or rejection rests with the Editorial Board, who reserves the right to refuse any material for publication.
For more detailed instructions for manuscript submission, see the Author Guidelines on the TAJA webpage.
